Hi! My name is Marissa. As a therapist, I seek to provide a warm, safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the key to creating positive change, and that therapy can often provide a corrective experience to help individuals heal and grow. I typically integrate various styles into treatment, including mindfulness, interpersonal and
cognitive behavioral approaches. My strongest interest lies in helping clients build emotional awareness and strengthening relationships beyond therapy, as I believe we all strive to feel connected and heard.
I have experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings, including in-home, office and in-school, with a specific focus on trauma, anxiety and grief. I have extensive training in trauma treatment and have provided therapy to individuals, families and groups. I have a passion for using creative and play techniques in addition to talk therapy.
I look forward to meeting you where you are—to help you explore your needs and grow.
