Personal Statement:

Life gets hard. Even under the best of circumstances, being human means grappling with things like self-doubt, loss, shame, and uncertainty. My work is grounded in the belief that the pain that comes with life is a deeply human experience – and one that can be eased through curiosity, compassion, and the courage to look inward. Through psychodynamic therapy techniques, I offer a space for thoughtful exploration and authentic connection. Whether you’re facing a life transition, struggling with emotional pain, depression, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a grounded and thoughtful presence to support your journey toward growth and self-understanding.

My experience of providing therapy has allowed me to work with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds. I specialize in working with emerging adults and men’s issues, as I am particularly attuned to the challenges faced concerning identity, intimacy, purpose, and emotional expression. I am oriented as a relational psychodynamic therapist with a deep belief that our early relationships shape how we understand ourselves, how we connect with others, and how we respond to life’s challenges. I work from an attachment-based lens, which means I pay close attention to the ways we’ve learned—often unconsciously—to seek closeness, protect ourselves, or manage emotional pain. Openly analyzing this process can be challenging, but it can also be profoundly freeing, opening the door to a more authentic and fulfilling life.

I also have experience with other evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and mindfulness therapy techniques, with training in trauma-informed approaches and cultural influences on toddlerhood. In our work together, I strive to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, rooted in depth, honesty, and respect. My goal is to help you build a more meaningful relationship with yourself and others, and to support your growth toward greater freedom, authenticity, and self-understanding.
