I am a licensed therapist with 5 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a commitment to supporting you in achieving your therapy goals. I focus primarily on adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, women’s issues, correctional/offender counseling, and trauma. I utilize evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness to tailor my sessions to your unique and specific needs. I strive to focus and educate specifically on emotion and mood regulation skills to help overcome mental health symptoms.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, negative thoughts, and learn coping skills. I aim to focus our sessions on processing emotions and exploring beliefs you hold about yourself and the world. I am a firm believer in holistic approaches and ensure your treatment will be designed to investigate the whole person. Whether you’re facing a specific life challenge or seeking personal growth, I am here to guide you on your journey toward healing.
I am actively working toward my certification in perinatal mental health, which will be integrated into my practice to better support women. This specialized training will focus on evidence-based interventions for postpartum depression, anxiety, rage, and OCD. I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where women can openly share their perinatal experiences and feel supported during this vulnerable time. All women deserve compassionate care throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period, and prioritizing maternal mental health is essential.
